Gate One built a 1,780 square foot addition to my house and it was a outstanding experience. From inception, budge projection to completion they handled every necessary detail for permits, architectural fees and inspections. Importantly and impressively, the project came through on budget.
Their own trades and those which were subcontracted were all very professional and a pleasure to interact with. The project was completed ten years ago this month and the high quality results are still as sound and successful as the day I moved into the addition. Our project was a 14-month new construction (2 buildings), and a renovation / integration. It was comprehensive, complex, and required a flexible team to work within the confines of the property.
Matt and the Gate One Team (Bryan Barton especially), were nothing short of exceptional. They exceeded our expectations throughout the entire project and delivered our house back to us one month early AND under budget.
Let me call out two examples where Gate One was particularly good. First, for fourteen months someone from the Gate One team was at our home every single day. The level of supervision and hands on knowledge about anything happening at the site was remarkable. The team was fully invested and on top of all aspects of the process.
The second high mark was in communication – these guys are highly highly connected – cell, email, text message, if I wanted to talk to someone they were just a call away. In the course of 14 months I think I left 4-5 voice mails. The communication went one step further – the Gate One team was proactive with us, constantly reaching out with good or bad news, and keeping us appraised of timelines and key gating items. This kept the project on track despite some curve balls that you would expect from a project of this scope.
These guys are pros. They are on point, highly involved, and I could not imagine using someone else.
